Sheffield Road (West side) : Whitehead's millinery

Frank Whitehead's milliners shop operated from number 6 from 1898-1959, serving generations of Barnsley people. The packed window display has a variety of women's headwear suitable for all occasions. This looks like an Edwardian image, c.1910. Whitehead's also sold a good range of drapery items, particularly for women and children.
