Sheffield Road : general view c.1908

This excellent postcard view of Sheffield Road was the work of Lamb of Racecommon Road. Lamb reproduced very high quality images of Barnsley during the Edward era. This image certainly demonstartes that traffic along the busy road was largely confined to horse-drawn vehicles and trams at this time.
