Shambles Street : (South side) : Number 36

The three-storey stone-built building in view (number 36) had large sash windows serving its upper floors; and below the groundfloor was used as shop premises, from the 1960s Bostwick & Sayers (insurance agents) had the right-hand side and from the late 1970s Pickerings florist, health/whole foods and restaurant occupied the left side. Just beyond the main building was the entrance to Armitage's Yard.
